River of Nepal , Arun River

The Arun River is a river that flows through Nepal, Tibetand China, becoming a tributary of the Ganges. It is one of the principal tributaries of the Kosi River .TheSaptakoshi River is the main water source of the Kosi River, the principal source of water for the Kosi River Basin. The Arun river is important in the folklore of theKiranti people of eastern Nepal.

In Nepal, the Kosi lies to the south of Kanchenjunga and has seven major tributaries: Sun Kosi, Tama Kosi, Dudh Kosi, Indravati, Likhu, Arun and Tamore. It has an average waterflow of 2564 cubic metres per second.
